Iran to support Lebanon ‘under any circumstances’

Iran has promised to support Lebanon under any circumstances, which has been devastated by the military operation of the Israeli forces. Ali Larizani, the senior adviser of the supreme spiritual leader of the country, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, told reporters this information.
Ali Larizani visited Beirut on Friday. He also held a meeting with Lebanon’s Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati. Larijani told reporters after the meeting that Tehran would stand by Lebanon “under any circumstances” as the United States and others work to secure a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon’s armed Islamist group Hezbollah. Iran is supporting the people and government of Lebanon.
He also said that Iran does not want to disrupt anything, but is trying to solve the problem. Hezbollah is a wise movement and the Lebanese are a wise nation. They themselves know what steps to take.
Meanwhile, despite such talks, the Israel Defense Forces continued airstrikes and bombardments in Lebanon, with airstrikes targeting buildings in Beirut’s southern suburbs on Friday.
