Saudi Crown Prince met with Russian Foreign Minister

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed strengthening bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Russia with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The Saudi Crown Prince met the Russian Foreign Minister in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Monday.

Both Russia and Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministries confirmed the meeting. However, no details were given about the content of the meeting.

Earlier, Lavrov met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. However, Moscow did not disclose any specific agenda details for the meeting.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on its official website that the meeting discussed ways to increase relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries. Various regional and international issues were also discussed.

Meanwhile, Lavrov also met with GCC Secretary General Jassem Mohammed Albudaiy ahead of the seventh ministerial meeting of the Russia-GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Strategic Dialogue.
