Saudi made permission to perform Hajj mandatory

Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. Every year in the month of Zilhaj, the devout pilgrims of the world perform Hajj. Muslims who have the financial and physical capacity are required to perform Hajj at least once in their lifetime.

And the Saudi government has declared it mandatory to get permission to perform this holy Hajj. The country’s government said the decision was taken on the basis of Sharia law to make the Hajj process more dynamic and to ensure the sanctity of the holy places.

Saudi state news agency Saudi Press Agency reported that Saudi’s highest religious organization ‘Senior Council of Ulama’ has given an opinion that those who go for Hajj without permission will not be given the opportunity to perform Hajj. Nevertheless those who perform Hajj will ‘sin’ through it.

Last Friday (March 26), representatives of the Saudi Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the authorities in charge of the 2 Holy Mosques presented their views to the scholars in this regard. Then the scholars announced that to perform Hajj, permission must be obtained first.

According to the ‘Senior Council of Ulama’, the government institutions in charge of organizing Hajj have prepared a comprehensive plan. These include safety, health, accommodation, food supply and other services. Those who will perform Hajj by registering in government institutions will get better and better services.

Saudi Arabia has taken various initiatives so that pilgrims can perform Hajj without any problems. The Saudi government has even made the issue of permission to perform Hajj mandatory.
