Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been placed in a hospital underground amid fears that Palestinian militant group Hamas or Yemen’s Houthi rebels could launch rocket attacks.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office confirmed the information on Tuesday (December 31).

It is reported that Netanyahu has been staying at the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem after undergoing prostate surgery on Sunday. However, he has been placed in the hospital’s secure underground amid fears that Hamas or Houthi rebels could launch rocket attacks.

Two rockets were fired at Israel from Beit Hanoun in Gaza on Sunday. Israeli forces were able to intercept the rockets. But the rockets fired from Gaza after 15 months of war have raised concerns among the occupiers.

The 75-year-old Netanyahu also had to go under the knife in March. He underwent surgery for a hernia. He was away from government duties for several days at that time.

And last year, a blockage was detected in his heart. Then a pacemaker was surgically implanted in his body. Earlier, he had to be hospitalized due to dehydration. Then speculation began about his health.

Then, in January, a medical report said that Netanyahu was completely healthy. His pacemaker was working properly and there were no other problems with his heart. However, as he grew older, he has been suffering from various diseases and has to go to the hospital regularly.
