Singapore’s passport is the world’s most powerful, Bangladesh’s weakest

Singapore’s passport has retained its position as the world’s most powerful passport. According to the Henley Passport Index, the small city-state will have the world’s most powerful passport in 2025.
As a result, Singapore citizens will be able to travel visa-free to 195 of the world’s 227 countries this year.
According to the new list, the gap in travel freedom between the world’s top and lowest-ranking passports is now the largest. Political instability and environmental disasters are further increasing this disparity.
Companies like Henley Passport Index and Arton Capital prepare this list based on travel policies and government data of different countries.
Bangladesh’s passport quality has hit the bottom of the list, with Bangladesh ranked 100th on the list, along with Libya and Palestine. From this position, Bangladeshi passport holders will be able to enter only 40 countries without a visa. Bangladesh was at number 97 on the previous list.
This time, only seven countries have weaker passports than Bangladesh on the list. These countries are Nepal, Somalia, Pakistan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria and last of all, Afghanistan.
Afghanistan, which is ranked 106th on the list, will allow you to enter only 26 countries without a visa.
CNN reported that the United States once had the most powerful passport in the world. Now, this passport is ranked ninth on the list.
Japan is next in the passport index after Singapore. Its passport holders can enter 193 countries without a visa.
France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland and South Korea are jointly ranked third on the list. Passport holders of these countries will have the benefit of visa-free entry to 192 countries.
And passport holders of Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway, which are ranked fourth on the list, will be able to enter 191 countries.
Passport holders from Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland and the United Kingdom can enter 190 countries without a visa.
Greece and Australia, in sixth position, can enter 189 countries, Canada, Poland and Malta, in seventh position, can enter 188 countries, Hungary and the Czech Republic, in eighth position, can enter 187 countries, Estonia and the United States, in ninth position, can enter 186 countries, and Lithuania, Latvia, Slovenia and the United Arab Emirates, in tenth position, can enter 185 countries without a visa.
Meanwhile, the UAE passport has risen on the list. The country has gained visa-free access to 72 new destinations in the past decade, moving up to 10th position. As a result, UAE passport holders can now enter 185 countries without a visa.
