Former finance minister of Kazakhstan Kuandik Bishimbayev has been accused of beating his wife to death. He tortured and killed his wife for eight hours.

Controversy has been created across the country after this incident became known. In this incident, the president who promised to establish the right of equality in the country and give justice to everyone has fallen into trouble.
The incident happened in November. That month, the body of Bishimbayev’s wife, Sultanat Nukenova, was found in a restaurant. The restaurant where his body was found belongs to a relative of Bishimbayev. The husband and wife were there since the night before.
The police presented the CCTV footage of the restaurant to the court. There, 44-year-old former Kazakh finance minister Bishimbayev was seen repeatedly kicking and punching his 31-year-old wife. In this way, he tortured his wife for 8 hours. After punching and kicking, Sultanat was dragged by the hair to the next room.
The government lawyer told the court that Sultanat hid in the toilet to escape from her husband. The former minister started beating him after breaking the door.
CCTV footage showed Sultanat lying on the floor in a bloody state. The post-mortem report states that Sultanat died of head injuries.
Bishimbaev has been charged with aggravated assault as well as murder. If found guilty, he could face up to 20 years in prison.
