The United States has announced the sale of drones and missiles worth approximately 360 million dollars to Taiwan. The matter has been confirmed by the US State Department.

Citing the Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), the news agency Reuters reported that the United States is going to sell weapons and drones worth $360 million to the island to strengthen Taiwan’s defense system.

In addition to 1,000 armed drones and 720 Switchblade missiles, there is a fire control system worth $60 million. DSCA claims that on the one hand, Taiwan’s security will increase, as well as the region’s stability, military balance and economic progress.

The Biden administration has approved arms sales to Taiwan 15 times since 2021. Ignoring Beijing’s warning, the sale of drones and missiles has been approved again. And the Ministry of Defense of Taiwan thanked the United States for this.

Meanwhile, amid tensions with the US over the Taiwan issue, China is ramping up the construction of sophisticated warships. According to analysts, the Xi administration’s initiative is to increase its ability to deal with any war situation.
