Thousands of people took to the streets of Islamabad, Pakistan, demanding an end to the war in Gaza. The rally was organized by the Pakistan Jamaat-e-Islami on Sunday (December 29).

The rally called on the Pakistani government to recognize Hamas as a legitimate military force in addition to an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The participants in the rally said, “We must corner Israel through diplomatic means. Geographical distance will not stop us. We stand with the Palestinian people. Our faith and religion teach us that.”

At the same time, they also called on the Pakistani government to stand by the innocent people of Gaza.

They said, “We want the Pakistani government to recognize Hamas as a legitimate military force. Even their armed resistance in the face of the occupation is supported by UN law. Their struggle is legitimate in every way. Those who call Hamas terrorists are actually terrorists themselves.”

Pakistan Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naimur Rehman also commented that Hamas should be allowed to open an office in Pakistan.

Incidentally, since October 7 last year, the occupying Israel has been carrying out indiscriminate genocide in Gaza. More than 45,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in the continuous attacks so far. Many people are missing. In addition, more than 2.3 million Palestinians have fled their homes.

Although various countries of the world have come to pressure to stop the aggression, the Netanyahu administration is not paying any attention.
