Three Indians arrested in Hardeep’s murder, what Jaishankar said in response

Canadian police have arrested three Indians in connection with the killing of Khalistan leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar reacted angrily to this incident.

India’s foreign minister said these things on Saturday (May 4). News from NDTV.

Jaishankar said, now we are waiting for Canada to provide us with any information about them.

He said that he saw the arrest of three Indians. The accused may work for a gang. But we are waiting for what the police say.

He further said, we have informed them of our opinion. Because they have given opportunity to organized crime from India especially Punjab to operate from Canada.

Sanjay Verma, the Indian High Commissioner assigned to Canada, said, “We are constantly keeping information about the arrest of three people.”

He said, it is an internal matter of Canada. Their police must prepare a thorough investigation report through transparency.

Earlier on Friday, Canadian police arrested three Indians in connection with Hardeep Singh’s murder. The police will now investigate whether these people are in contact with the Indian government.

Note that in June last year, Sikh leader Nijjar, 45, was killed in Canada. A few months after the murder, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau blamed the Indian government for the incident. Since then, diplomatic relations between the two countries have been on the decline.
