Travel fee for Bangladesh is lower than Bhutan

Tourism Department of Bhutan Government has reduced the travel fees for Bangladeshi tourists. According to the new policy, Bangladeshi tourists will have to pay only $15 as ‘Sustainable Development Fee’. This is equal to the fee charged on Indian tourists. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the matter in a post on Facebook.
Under the new policy, 15,000 Bangladeshi tourists will be able to travel to Bhutan at a cost of $15 per year.
Bangladesh and Bhutan have cordial relations. Recently under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, this relationship has been consolidated. The visa policy has come into effect from Sunday.
Earlier in 2022, the government of Bhutan imposed a $200 fee on tourists called the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF). However, this fee was reduced to $100 last year. Like other countries, the tourists of Bangladesh also had to pay this fee. However, the SDF fee for Indian tourists was around $15. This time the SDF fee has been reduced to $15 for Bangladeshi tourists.
