Trump threatens to impose additional tariffs on Indian products

Before taking oath, US President-elect Donald Trump has threatened to impose additional tariffs on Indian products. At the same time, he has said that he will apply the same policy to Brazil.

According to PTI, Donald Trump spoke to reporters at his residence in Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday. There, he said, if any country imposes additional tariffs on us, America will also impose high tariffs on the products of that country. They impose high tariffs on us in almost all cases, but so far we have not imposed any tariffs on them. In this context, Trump mentioned two countries: India and Brazil. He said that these two countries impose high tariffs on American products.

Republican candidate Donald Trump won the US presidential election on November 5. Although he has not yet officially taken office as president. He is scheduled to take oath on January 20. He threatened India and Brazil before taking office as president.

Donald Trump said, there must be transparency in trade. If India imposes 100 percent tariff on American products, America will also impose the same amount of tariff. There is no problem if they impose tariffs on us, but we will also impose reciprocal tariffs.
