BRICS wants to expand its trade and economy by breaking away from the US. This organization, which consists of 9 countries, wants to introduce a separate currency instead of the US dollar. With which they will trade goods among themselves. Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa and the rest of the BRICS countries have agreed to such discussions at the BRICS meeting in October.

Donald Trump, the new US president, is strongly opposed to such BRICS discussions. He has warned India, China, Russia and other countries against this BRICS policy. He is in favor of imposing heavy tariffs on these countries.

It is believed that the world will see the second wave of the tariff war immediately after Trump officially takes office on January 20. He will impose 100% tariffs on the BRICS member countries. However, that will only happen if the countries use other currencies instead of the US dollar in international transactions.

In an online post, Trump said, “The idea that the BRICS countries are standing by us and trying to get away from the dollar is over. We need a commitment from these countries that they will not create a new BRICS currency. Or that they will not return any other currency to replace the powerful ones. But if they do, they will face 100% tariffs.”

According to President Trump, the BRICS countries can find another currency, but they will not be able to replace the dollar with another currency in international trade. Because any country that tries will have to say goodbye to America.

Trump had said this before the presidential election. He had made his position clear on the tariff plan to strengthen the United States financially. He had said, “We generally do not charge tariffs. I started that process. It was very good on covered vans and small trucks. China charges us 200 percent. Brazil is also a big charger in terms of tariffs.

Despite his deep relationship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Trump said of the tariff charges, “India is the biggest charger of all. They probably charge more than China in many ways. But they do it with a smile. They mean it’s a very small charge. They say thank you very much for buying from India.”
