Türkiye sent relief, Erdogan announced to stand by Bangladesh

As the head of the interim government took over on Tuesday. President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Muhammad Yunus by phone. At that time, he announced the reconstruction of the country and the humanitarian assistance to the flood affected people.

A day later, Türkiye provided 16,750 relief packages to the flood victims on Wednesday. Turkish media TRT World reported this information in a report on Wednesday.

At the same time, Erdogan expressed his condolences for the loss of life in the flood and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and victims. The Turkish head of state posted a video of the flooded area on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

In the caption of that video, Erdogan said, ‘We are extending Turkey’s help to our friend and brother Bangladesh. They are having a hard time with the floods. We are not leaving our Bangladeshi brothers and sisters alone in difficult times. They have faced a great loss, we will stand by them to heal this loss.”

Erdogan also said, “I pray to God, those who lost their lives in this disaster, may God have mercy on them.” I wish the injured a speedy recovery. We are always by their side.
