The US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti has said that the United States is ready to provide all kinds of assistance to Bangladesh. He said that US National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan’s recent visit to India discussed Bangladesh, and the United States is in touch with new representatives of Bangladesh. This information was reported by Kolkata-based media Anandabazar on Friday.

In response to a question, Eric Garcetti said that the interests of minorities are important to both Biden and the Trump administration. The United States is ready to provide all kinds of assistance to complete the elections in Bangladesh and keep everyone safe. Sullivan’s discussions in Delhi largely focused on Bangladesh.

He said, we all want a stable, prosperous, tolerant Bangladesh. Both India and America have interests in this regard. We can work more closely for this. Garcetti commented that any political change is difficult and it cannot always be said that it will be good. Besides, India and America have a wide range of responsibilities in various fields. He said, India is important for America in cooperation in various fields from combating global warming, trade, expansion of information technology and communication. The National Security Advisor also recently spoke in Delhi about the responsible use of nuclear energy.

Garcetti said that neither the US nor India is a perfect democracy. Democracy needs to be maintained like a house. However, regarding the differences between India and the US, Garcetti said that the Indian Foreign Minister says that he will not talk about America, and America will not talk about India. But I would say that both should talk about both. All countries have internal problems. When the relationship is intimate, more can be said openly.
