Amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, fake videos of prominent political leaders are doing the rounds online. On Monday (May 6), a similar video has spread on social media. The
video revolves around Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The artificial intelligence (AI)-generated video shows Modi walking towards the stage in a special pose and dancing. Interestingly, the video was shared by Modi himself. He said, he is very happy to see himself dancing.
The video was first shared by an X account named Ethist Krishna. Its caption read, ‘Posting this video because I know the ‘dictator’ won’t arrest me for it.’
Sharing the video, Modi also wrote, Like all of you, I enjoyed watching myself dance. This kind of creativity is a real joy during the busy voting season!
Many commented on PM Modi’s reaction to the AI-generated video.
One wrote, ‘Your capacity to endure endless criticism, memes, insults is immense. It’s really inspiring.’
Another user commented, “Now the people should decide who is the real dictator.”
Earlier, a user posted a similar meme of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the X platform. This video of Modi surfaced a few hours after Kolkata police took action against him.
The original video shared by Modi was actually a video of American rap artist Lil Yachty entering the stage. The video was first posted on YouTube on June 21, 2022.
