Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula de Silva strongly condemned Israel’s recent barbaric massacres in the Palestinian Gaza Strip. He said that the world should not remain silent when the people of Palestine are suffering endless suffering and indiscriminate genocide.

In a statement, Lula de Silva said, the recent Israeli military airstrikes in al-Mawasi refugee camp in Khan Yunus city of Gaza, which killed hundreds of people, cannot be accepted.

This statement was released from the office of the President of Brazil on Monday morning.

In the statement, the President of Brazil said that thousands of Palestinians have died in the Israeli aggression since October last year. But it’s a terrible thing that Israel is collectively punishing the Palestinian people.

Lula de Silva said that the Israeli government is killing thousands of Palestinians in those areas after declaring many areas of Gaza as safe zones. As leaders of the democratic world, we cannot remain silent about this endless carnage.

Earlier in February, Lula de Silva made it clear that what the Israeli government is doing in Gaza is not a war, it is direct genocide.

In addition, this year in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, at the 37th Teachers’ Conference of the African Union, De Silva referred to the events in Gaza as Israel’s genocide. The Brazilian president has also withdrawn his country’s ambassador from Israel.
