Amid tensions, Israel airstrike in Lebanon, Hezbollah commander killed

A Hezbollah commander was killed in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon. On Tuesday (April 16), Israeli forces launched an airstrike in the city of Ein Baal. Al Jazeera news.

The Israeli army said in a statement that the name of the slain commander was Israel Youssef Baz. He was a senior and experienced officer in Hezbollah’s military wing.

The statement also said that Baaz was involved in planning to launch rockets and anti-tank missiles into Israel from coastal areas of Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah admitted the death of a member, but the Lebanon-based organization did not give any details about it.

After this incident, Iran warned that Tel Aviv will have to face a painful situation even if they try to take the slightest revenge for their drone and missile attacks.

On April 1, Israel launched a deadly missile attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the capital of Syria. 7 high-ranking officers including two commanders of the Revolutionary Guards were killed.

Iran fired dozens of drones and missiles at Israeli territory on Saturday (April 13) night. Yemen’s pro-Iranian armed group, the Houthis, joined them in the attack. After that, it is known that the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah launched a rocket attack on Israel.
