Only US Can Stop Israel: Palestinian President

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has warned that Israel may launch a ground attack there in the next few days. However, he also said that only the United States can prevent Israel from launching a ground attack on Rafah.
He said these things at a special meeting of the World Economic Forum in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
Mahmoud Abbas said, “We call on the United States to stop Israel from attacking Rafah.” The US is the only country that can stop Israel from this crime.
The Palestinian President said that Israel may attack Rafah in the next few days. However, if there is a small attack there, the Palestinians will be forced to leave Gaza. Then the greatest catastrophe in the history of the Palestinian people will occur.
On October 7, Hamas entered southern Israel and carried out an unprecedented attack, killing 1,200 Israelis and arresting about 250 Israelis and foreign citizens and bringing them to Gaza. Israel has been indiscriminately bombing Gaza on the same day it declared war on Hamas. Already, more than 34,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks in this small valley. Most of the dead are women and children.
