Israel has been carrying out indiscriminate and genocidal attacks on Gaza and the occupied West Bank of Palestine for the past 10 months with the aim of eliminating Hamas. As part of this, medical centers have been attacked more than 1,000 times.

Qatar-based media Al Jazeera reported this information on Sunday.

Doctors’ rights organization Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) said that no other 10-month-long armed conflict in human history has seen more attacks on medical infrastructure.

“Over 1,000 attacks on doctors, patients, clinics and other healthcare infrastructure have created an unprecedented public health crisis in the Occupied Palestinian Territory,” said Hussam Al-Nahas, Middle East and North Africa researcher at PHR. No other (conflict) instance has even come close to this ominous milestone. The scale of the attack on healthcare in the region is unprecedented.’

“These are not just attacks on brick-and-mortar establishments, but actions that deprive women, men, boys and girls of access to hospital beds, emergency medicine, surgery and the chance to save their own lives,” he added.

The New York-based organization called for an impartial investigation into attacks on Palestinian health infrastructure and warned Israel that such initiatives could violate international human rights law.

Hamas launched an ambush on Israeli territory on October 7. A thousand and 197 people were killed in this attack, most of them civilians.

251 people were taken hostage by Hamas, 111 of whom are still detained in Gaza. The Israeli military said 39 of the hostages had already been killed.

Since that day, Israel has started indiscriminate and retaliatory massacres in Gaza. At least 39,550 Palestinians were killed in this attack. 91 thousand 280 people were injured. Most of the casualties were women and children.
