Turkey claims to kill 17 Kurdish fighters

Turkish forces have killed 17 fighters of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in different parts of northern Iraq and Syria. The country’s defense ministry claimed the killing on Friday. British news agency Reuters reported this news.

The Ministry of Defense of Turkey said on social media that 10 Kurdish fighters were killed by Turkish forces in different areas of Gara and Hakurk in the northern part of Iraq. The Turkish military often conducts cross-border operations in this area under ‘Claw-Lock Operation’.

The ministry also said they killed seven more Kurdish fighters from two locations in northern Syria. Türkiye has attacked here before.
