
14 killed in Vietnam by Yagi

Super Typhoon Yagi is the strongest storm to hit Asia this year. North Vietnam was almost completely destroyed by the storm.
The storm hit Hai Phong and Quang Ninh provinces on Saturday morning with winds of 203 kilometers per hour. At least 14 people died there.

AFP reported that metal roofing sheets and commercial signs were seen flying in various towns in Hai Phong province. Several multinational factories in the city are closed due to power cuts. Four northern airports suspended operations for most of the day. Schools were closed in 12 northern provinces, including Hanoi.
