Bullet smoke in the sky. Waking up to the sound of sirens. Leaflet in front of house. Threats to leave home. Bombs without notice. There is no escape. The smell of corpses in the air. Mutilated bodies among the stones and concrete in the city alley. On one side is the grief of losing a relative and on the other is the hunger of the stomach. The innocent Palestinians of Gaza seem to have lost both the strength to scream and the tears to cry. Tuesday marked the 200th day of Israel’s brutal Gaza war.

Gaza has been under Israeli aggression since October 7. Death marches have increased in the besieged region. Extensive damage has been done. In 200 days of brutality, the Israeli army dropped 75,000 tons of explosives in the Gaza Strip.

380,000 housing units, 412 schools and universities, 556 mosques, three churches and 206 archaeological and heritage sites were damaged or completely destroyed in the blockaded area. In addition, Israeli forces have also targeted the basic necessities of people in this terrible attack. 32 hospitals and 53 health centers in Gaza, as well as 126 ambulances, have been targeted in the Israeli offensive. According to the Gaza media office, the damage in the besieged area is at least 30 billion dollars.

Since the beginning of Israel’s attack on Gaza, women and children have been their main targets. Israeli forces are determined to exterminate future generations of Palestinians. According to Aljazeera, the number of women killed in Gaza so far exceeds 10,000.

Meanwhile, the easiest and most brutal victims of war are children. They are constantly dying. 14 thousand 685 children died in Gaza due to Israeli atrocities. Although the media of different countries of the world have seen this, their activity has decreased for an unknown reason for a month. It is as if the world has forgotten these innocents, who are constantly falling into the arms of death due to bombs, bullets and starvation. Adnan Abu Hasna, Media Adviser of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for UNRWA, said that hundreds of children have become orphans in Gaza. There are now 18,000 orphaned children living in Gaza, who have lost everything – family, love and life.

According to UNICEF, a child is killed in Gaza every 10 minutes. Because of this, the UN Children’s Organization is demanding an immediate ceasefire. They feel that only a ceasefire can stop the continuing child deaths there. It has been approached several times by the international court including the United Nations, but no solution has been found. Even disobeying the order of the international court, the Israeli forces have carried out atrocities on the Palestinians. In addition, thousands of children are at risk of starvation and malnutrition in Gaza due to the lack of regular aid supplies. Many children are dying due to lack of treatment. With no water, electricity or internet access in Gaza, the true picture of the suffering is not emerging. Journalists from foreign media are not allowed to enter there. The families of those who are spreading the news are being killed. Relief seekers and relief workers are being killed.

Meanwhile, millions of Palestinians have been displaced inside Gaza to escape Israeli attacks. They are being bombarded by Israeli bombs from the refugee camps. Even on the 200th day of the war, it is not known exactly when the conflict will end.

AFP correspondents and eyewitnesses said on Tuesday that the Israeli army shelled al-Tufah, Shujaiya and Zeitoun areas around Gaza overnight. Shelling and heavy explosions were also heard in southwestern Gaza and south in Khan Yunis.

Israeli forces have even launched airstrikes near Buraij refugee camp and artillery fire at Nuseirat refugee camp. According to reports from residents of northern Gaza and Hamas media, Israeli army tanks have launched renewed attacks east of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip. However, they have not yet entered the city. A few rounds from the tank hit the school. Displaced residents of Gaza were taking shelter there. Government offices and businesses in Israel were closed for the Jewish holiday of Passover. In between, Israel issued a warning of rocket attacks there on Monday night. At the same time, the southern border towns were closed. However, no casualty was reported in this attack.

Mass graves are even being found in major hospitals including Al-Shifa in Gaza. In the 200 days of Israeli attacks, the number of dead in Gaza exceeded 34 thousand and the number of injured exceeded 77 thousand. On the other hand, the residents of Israel have also protested against the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu based on the war. Israeli citizens are held captive by the Palestinian armed forces, Hamas.

Hamas will release them under the condition of a ceasefire. But the citizens of the country are very angry because they did not get any assurance of ceasefire from Benjamin Netanyahu. They are even agitating to demand his resignation.
