Fear of a new disaster in Oman, the closure of educational institutions is announced

The Middle Eastern country of Oman has announced the closure of educational institutions in several regions of the country due to the fear of a new disaster.

The Ministry of Education announced a holiday in all public and private schools and colleges in North Al Sharqia on Monday.

Al Dakhiliya administration also declared a holiday on Tuesday. North Al Batina also imposes several restrictions on educational institutions during the rainy season.

After the death of 12 school students who were affected by the floods after the rains last time, Oman does not want to take any risk for the safety of the young students.

However, this year’s rainy season is much more normal than the previous one.

However, Oman’s National Multi-Hazard Warning Center has warned that heavy rains with hail are coming in the near future.

The weather report issued by the Civil Aviation Authority mentions a few regions by name.

Among these, Muscat, Al Buraimi, North and South Al Batinah, Ad Dahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, North and South Al Sharqiyah and Musandam are going to be heavily affected.

At this time, there is a possibility of rain, thunder storm and the resulting flooding in different parts of Oman with 10 to 30 mm of thunder to increase the suffering in public life again.

According to the forecast, this adverse weather may last for 3 days i.e. till Thursday.

Expatriates and citizens have been warned that this time too there is a possibility of low-lying areas like last week.

Besides, there will be strong water currents in the wadi. Which can lead to loss of life if not careful.
