South Korea ready to increase military aid to Ukraine if Russia and North Korea continue mutual cooperation. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said this.
In an interview given to EFE news agency, he said, “If they do not stop their dangerous military operations, we are ready to take appropriate and effective measures, including increasing aid to Ukraine in cooperation with our allies and like-minded countries.”
He said that sending North Korean troops to participate in Russia’s special military operation poses a serious security threat not only to the Korean Peninsula and Europe, but to the whole world.
Earlier on October 24, Yoon Suk Yeol said that Seoul may reconsider providing lethal weapons to Ukraine.
Incidentally, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that strategic cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang is not unusual. Those committed to peaceful cooperation with Moscow have nothing to fear, he said.
