In a move to bolster its international ties and promote tourism, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced visa-on-arrival privileges for citizens hailing from 87 nations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs unveiled the updated visa exemption list, opening doors for travelers worldwide to experience the rich culture and vibrant landscapes of the UAE without the hassle of obtaining a prior visa.

The streamlined process allows tourists from these countries to embark on their UAE adventure with ease. By simply accessing the official website, visitors can effortlessly access the updated information on visa exemptions, catering to ordinary passport holders from diverse corners of the globe.

Highlighting the inclusivity of this initiative, the UAE Digital Government emphasized the seamless entry for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) citizens, who can traverse the UAE borders with just their passports or ID cards, sans the need for a visa or sponsor.

This progressive approach aims to enhance the UAE’s reputation as a global hub for tourism and business, fostering closer bonds with nations worldwide. As travelers arrive, they can avail themselves of entry visas, ranging from 30 days extendable up to 90 days, depending on their nationality and circumstances.

For citizens of the Republic of India, holding valid passports and certain additional documents, an entry visa upon arrival for 14 days, extendable up to 28 days, further enriches the accessibility of UAE tourism.

However, for those outside the list of exempted countries, the UAE Digital Government underscores the importance of obtaining prior entry permits, ensuring a smooth and compliant entry process aligned with the country’s regulations.

With its forward-looking policies, the UAE continues to set benchmarks in facilitating global connectivity, inviting travelers from across the world to explore its myriad offerings and create unforgettable memories in the heart of the Middle East.
