Kuwait’s Manpower Public Authority has imposed restrictions on open-air workers from June 1 to August.

During this time the temperature of the country exceeds 40 degrees to 50 degrees. Therefore, considering the standards of international labor law and the health of workers, restrictions are imposed on the work of workers in open spaces from 11 am to 4 pm for these 3 months. Although the number of Indian and Egyptian workers is more in the country, there are about 3 lakh Bangladeshi expatriates.

Most of them are involved in cleaning, gardening and construction work. According to sources, the National Center for Occupational Health Administration will conduct monitoring and operations for the health and safety of workers for these three months. Any worker caught during the operation will be fined 100 to 200 Kuwaiti dinars and the company’s license will be blocked.
