Netanyahu made the comments on Tuesday amid efforts to reach an agreement on a cease-fire and hostage release in Gaza. BBC news.

In a meeting with relatives of hostages held by Hamas, Netanyahu said that he would attack Rafah regardless of the ceasefire agreement.

The United States has repeatedly warned Israel not to attack Rafah until the Palestinians sheltered in Rafah are properly protected. Ignoring that warning, Netanyahu gave such a warning.

He said Israel had begun evacuating civilians from the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah to begin a ground operation, and that fighting would continue even after the IDF withdrew most of its forces from the Palestinian enclave. Armistice agreements do not matter.

The Prime Minister of Israel said, we are continuing the war. We have started evacuating civilians from Rafah and the offensive will begin soon.

Netanyahu said the objective of the war against Hamas has not changed. Eliminating Hamas and freeing the hostages is Tel Aviv’s main goal. Hostage family members supported his efforts and expressed optimism about the Israeli operation after meeting with him.

More than half of Gaza’s Palestinian population has taken refuge in Rafah to escape Israeli attacks. There is a danger of disaster if Israel launches a ground attack there.
