Missile attack by Houthi rebels on 3 ships

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Surrey claimed responsibility for the attack in a televised statement on Friday (May 24).

Reuters reported that Houthi forces targeted the Yannis ship in the Red Sea, the Essex in the Mediterranean and the MSC Alexandra in the Arabian Sea. At this time they fired several missiles at basically all commercial and warships heading towards Israel.

The Houthis fired two anti-ship ballistic missiles into the Red Sea on Thursday, US Central Command said on Friday (May 24). No damage or casualty was reported. The Houthis have not yet clarified when the attack took place.
